China’s video sharing app TikTok is once again on target. The Ticketock company has again come under attack after a 10-year-old girl died while playing a “blackout challenge” on TicTalk in Italy. Italian police are currently investigating the case. The Italian Proxycuter reported that the accidental death of a 10-year-old girl, who allegedly took part in the blackout challenge on the video sharing app TikTok, is being investigated.
Ticktock gave the explanation – Significantly, the girl died in the Palermo Hospital in Italy on Wednesday. The girl had locked herself in a bathroom with her five-year-old sister under the Blackout Challenge. Ticketcock is being held responsible for this entire development. Here, Chinese company Tiktok has clarified that they have not identified any type of content on their site that encourages the girl to participate in any kind of challenge. The company says that we are supporting the police in this case of ‘suicide’. A Ticketock spokesman said that safety is our absolute priority. We do not endorse any content that encourages dangerous behavior.
Case registered on Ticktalk – The parents of the girl who died, also told the media that at the time the girl died, she was playing a blackout game and her younger sister was with her. The child’s father said that we felt that she was watching the video at TickTalk. But I was not even imagining such atrocities. At the same time, Italian security agencies have filed a lawsuit against Ticketock and accused of playing with the safety of minor children. Doctors here have also issued warnings on games such as the Blackout Challenge, saying that such online games can cause serious physical harm, in which the oxygen supply to the brain is severely reduced.

चीन के वीडियो शेयरिंग ऐप TikTok एक बार फिर निशाने पर हैं। इटली में टिकटॉक पर “ब्लैकआउट चैलेंज” (blackout challenge) खेलने के दौरान एक 10 साल की बच्ची की मौत होने पर टिकटॉक कंपनी फिर सभी के निशाने पर आ गई है। फिलहाल इटली की स्थानीय पुलिस इस मामले में जांच कर रही है। इटालियन प्रोक्सीक्यूटेर ने बताया कि 10 वर्षीय बच्ची की आकस्मिक मौत की जांच की जा रही है, जिसने कथित तौर वीडियो शेयरिंग ऐप TikTok पर ब्लैकआउट चैलेंज (blackout challenge) में हिस्सा लिया था।
टिकटॉक ने दी सफाई – गौरतलब है कि बच्ची की मौत इटली के पालेर्मो अस्पताल में बुधवार को हो गई थी। बच्ची ने ब्लैकआउट चैलेंज की तहत खुद को अपनी पांच साल की बहन के साथ बाथरुम में बंद कर लिया था। इस पूरे घटनाक्रम के लिए टिकटॉक को जिम्मेदार ठहराया जा रहा है। इधर चीनी कंपनी टिकटॉक ने सफाई देते हुए कहा है कि उन्होंने अपनी साइट पर ऐसी किसी भी प्रकार की सामग्री की पहचान नहीं की है, जो लड़की को किसी तरह के चैलेंज में हिस्सा लेने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता हो। कंपनी का कहना है कि हम ‘आत्महत्या’ के इस मामले में पुलिस का सहयोग कर रहे हैं। टिकटॉक के प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि सुरक्षा हमारी पूर्ण प्राथमिकता है। हम किसी भी ऐसी सामग्री का समर्थन नहीं करते हैं, जो खतरनाक व्यवहार को प्रोत्साहित करता हो।
टिकटॉक पर मामला दर्ज – जिस बच्ची की मौत हुई, उसके माता-पिता ने भी मीडिया को बताया कि जिस समय बच्ची की मौत हुई, वह ब्लैकआउट गेम खेल रही थी और उसकी छोटी बहन उसके साथ थी। बच्ची के पिता ने कहा कि हमें लग रहा था कि वह टिकटॉक पर वीडियो देख रही थी। लेकिन मैं इस तरह के अत्याचार की कल्पना भी नहीं कर रहा था। वहीं इटली की सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने टिकटॉक के खिलाफ मुकदमा दायर कर लिया है और नाबालिग बच्चों की सुरक्षा के खिलवाड़ करने का आरोप लगाया है। इधर डॉक्टरों ने भी ब्लैकआउट चैलेंज जैसे गेम पर चेतावनी जारी करते हुए कहा है कि इस तरह के ऑनलाइन गेम गंभीर शारीरिक नुकसान पहुंचा सकते हैं, जिसमें मस्तिष्क में ऑक्सीजन की सप्लाई बेहद कम हो जाती है।
