Video calling became more popular in the Corona era – When the lockdown was imposed worldwide due to the corona epidemic, the video calling feature was used more. This feature was only available in Whatsapp’s mobile app. Zoom and Google Meet were being used for calling from desktop, but now video and audio calling features have also been introduced from the desktop version of WhatsApp. In such a situation, it is believed that if this feature is launched for everyone, then Zoom and Google Meet will get a tough competition.
WABetaInfo revealed – WAPetaInfo has given information about the new feature of Whatsapp. WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp has rolled out the video and audio calling feature from the desktop, along with some users sharing screen shots, showing the audio and video calling feature on the desktop version of Whatsapp. Currently this feature has been rolled out in the beta version, so only select users will be able to take advantage of it. Whatsapp had already announced that in the year 2021, users will be given the facility of desktop calling feature.

कोरोना काल में ज्यादा लोकप्रिय हुए वीडियो कॉलिंग – कोरोना महामारी के कारण जब दुनियाभर में लॉकडाउन लगा दिया गया था तो वीडियो कॉलिंग फीचर ज्यादा उपयोग किया गया। घरों में बंद लोग एक-दूसरे से जुड़ने के लिए वीडियो कॉल का ही ज्यादा उपयोग करते थे। यह सुविधा केवल Whatsapp के मोबाइल ऐप में ही उपलब्ध थी। डेस्कटॉप से कॉलिंग के लिए जूम और गूगल मीट का उपयोग किया जा रहा था, लेकिन अब व्हाट्ऐप के डेस्कटॉप वर्जन से भी वीडियो व ऑडियो कॉलिंग फीचर पेश कर दिया गया है। ऐसे में यह माना जा रहा है कि यदि यह फीचर सभी के लिए लांच कर दिया जाता है तो Zoom और Google Meet को कड़ी टक्कर मिलेगी।
WABetaInfo ने किया खुलासा – Whatsapp के नए फीचर की जानकारी WABetaInfo ने दी है। WABetaInfo ने बताया कि व्हाट्सऐप ने डेस्कटॉप से वीडियो और ऑडियो कॉलिंग फीचर रोलआउट कर दिया है, साथ ही कुछ यूजर्स ने इसके स्क्रीन शॉट भी शेयर किए हैं, जिसमें Whatsapp के डेस्कटॉप वर्जन पर ऑडियो और वीडियो कॉलिंग फीचर दिख रहा है। फिलहाल यह फीचर बीटा वर्जन में रोलआउट किया गया है, इसलिए चुनिंदा यूजर्स ही इसका लाभ उठा पाएंगे। Whatsapp ने पहले ही इस बात की घोषणा कर दी थी कि साल 2021 में यूजर्स को डेस्कटॉप कॉलिंग फीचर की सुविधा दे दी जाएगी।
