Multi-device support: When this feature is introduced, WhatsApp users will be able to login to multiple devices simultaneously. The feature is currently in development mode and was trialled in November 2020 in the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone. Currently, WhatsApp supports two devices at a time, namely a phone and a desktop. The new multi-device support will allow users to add up to four devices on a single account.
Call through WhatsApp Web, desktop app: This is the most exciting feature that people from all over the world are waiting for. After the announcement of this feature, both WhatsApp web and desktop apps for Windows and Mac can be used for voice / video calling. This feature will work in the same way as messages sent from the desktop.
Mute video facility: Currently, WhatsApp does not have the option to mute videos or upload them as a status update. However, in the coming days, users are expected to get the facility to mute the video. This will happen when the new feature is installed. According to the update, this muted video feature is still being developed and according to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, a speaker icon will be available on the left side, near the details of the video duration and file size of the user.
