In Begusarai Mansoorchak block, the emergency meeting of Indian Journalist Association Begusarai unit was held under the chairmanship of Divisional Officer Senior Journalist Ganesh Shankar Dutt Ishwar and under the supervision of Shamsul Qamar. Expressing deep condolences on the shooting of journalist Subhash Kumar of Bakhri block in the meeting, he observed silence for two minutes and prayed to God for the peace of the dead soul. All the members of Indian Journalist Association also wished his family members to give them patience in this hour of grief. After that the proceedings of the meeting were started. Addressing the meeting, Indian Journalist Association Bihar State Secretary Pankaj Kumar Jha said that the murder of Subhash Kumar is a very painful incident. If the killer of journalist Subhash Kumar, the police captain of Begusarai, is not arrested soon and punished severely, then the Indian Journalist Association will be compelled to conduct an indefinite mass movement under the banner of the Bihar unit from the block to the Vidhan Sabha, Parliament House. 10 lakh rupees financial assistance for maintenance of family members, government job to one dependent family member and guarantee of security to all the journalists of Bihar, who strongly demand to be given arms license for security of journalists Bihar Government and Center done by the government. On the other hand, Indian Journalist Association Bihar’s State President Ranjit Samrat and National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi have also expressed deep condolences on the brutal murder of journalist Subhash Kumar and demanded the police captain and the government to arrest his killer at the earliest. Members of the Indian Journalist Association, journalists Ritesh Ranjan, Laxman Kumar Sharma, Shamsul Qamar, Mohd. Abdul Qadir, social worker Amit Kumar Gupta alias Kirana others expressed their indignation and said that in Bihar, journalists are constantly attacked and the government Failed to take any concrete steps. Democracy is also feeling insecure in such a situation. The above journalists said that the police should immediately take the killer of Subhash Kumar in their custody and put the killer inside the jail, otherwise the journalist will be forced to launch a massive agitation.
