On the occasion of Rajyotsav, Chief Minister has launched ‘Joran’ gift pack of Chhattisgarhi dishes and the online dashboard of Slum Health Scheme

*Registration compulsory, Area wise camp information of mobile medical unit will be made available, medicine slip and test report will also be available online*

*As many as 11 lakh citizens have received free treatment facility in one year under Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme*

*’Joran’ gift pack contains 14 recipes like Bajra ki Barfi, Darbha Coffee, Ragi Cookies, Bajra and Bastar Cashew Cookies*

On the occasion of State Foundation Day, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today launched the online dashboard of Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme and a gift pack of ‘Joran’, a smart food version of Chhattisgarh’s traditional cuisine prepared by women self-help groups. This pack of delicacies includes Bajra Barfi, Darbha Coffee, Ragi Cookies, Bajra and Bastar Cashew Cookies, Millet Pedia, Papchi, Typhari etc.

Online dashboard of Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme will help the citizens to take advance appointment for free treatment from the comfort of their homes. Also, people will be able to check the time of arrival of mobile medical unit vehicles in their area. This dashboard will make it easier for the beneficiaries to avail the treatment. The drug prescription and test report of the patients will also be available online on this dashboard. To take advantage of this scheme, citizens will have to register on the online dashboard.

It is noteworthy that on the special initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme was launched a year ago on 1st November 2020, with the aim of providing free and better health facilities to the people living in slum areas of the state. Under this scheme, people are provided treatment facilities in their locality through 60 mobile medical units in 14 municipal areas. In just one year, more than 11 lakh citizens have been given free treatment and health benefits under the scheme. In a year 16 thousand 700 camps have been organized through the Mobile Medical Unit.

Urban Administration Department Secretary Mr. Alarmelmangai D informed on the occasion that with the objective of making Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme more accessible to the citizens, a dashboard has been launched. Regarding ‘Joran gift pack’, he told that in Chhattisgarh, it is a tradition to gift food items to the daughters in a jhanpi at the time of her marriage, after which the gift pack has been named ‘Joran’. He said that under the Urban Livelihood Mission, a smart food version of Chhattisgarh’s traditional cuisine ‘Joran’ gift pack has been prepared by the women self-help groups of Raipur. This gift pack contains sweets made of pure ghee, jaggery and millets prepared by self-help groups in gauthans. Recipes prepared from Bastar Coffee, Darbha Cashew etc. have also been included in the pack. People can use this gift pack on the occasion of festivals. Market is also being developed as an integrated model of Millet Mission, he added. Efforts are also being made to make available the Joran products on the platforms such as Amazon etc. with good branding in the market.
