Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel meets Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel today called on Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and urged him to include three routes, passing through tribal-dominated areas in Chhattisgarh in “Bharatmala Yojana”.
In a meeting held in New Delhi, Union Minister Gadkari agreed to include the 72-km-long Raigarh-Gharghora-Dharamjaigarh-Patthalgaon route, the 110-km-long Ambikapur-Wadafnagar-Bamhani-Renukut-Varanasi route and the 40-km-long Pandaria-Bajag-Gandasarai route under the “Bharatmala Yojana”
Bhupesh Baghel had informed the Union Minister that these three routes connect the proposed routes under the “Bharatmala Yojana” and would lead to the rapid development of the region as it passes through tribal-dominated areas of Chhattisgarh.
On the request of Baghel, Union Transport Minister Gadkari sanctioned the works related to widening of roads, up-gradation, renovation of National Highways and in-principle declared National Highways in Chhattisgarh at an estimated cost of Rs 10608.37 crore.
Baghel informed the Union Minister that the land acquisition work is underway on Raipur Durg Bypass, Raipur-Vishakhapatnam route and Bilaspur-Urga route under “Bharatmala Yojana”. He requested him to start the construction work on these routes at the earliest. To which, the union minister replied in affirmative and gave necessary directions to the officials concerned. During the meeting, Union Minister sanctioned road development works worth over Rs 20,000 crore in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister also sought sanction for an estimate of Rs 84 crore under periodical renewal for the year 2020-21. He sought approval for construction work from Mungeli to Pondi Marg and Madangmuda to Devbhog near Odisha border under Annual Plan 2020-21. He drew the union minister’s attention towards extremely poor condition of National Highway Champa-Korba-Katghora Road and ROB construction at existing level crossings on National Highways.
Baghel also brought to the notice of the union minister the slow pace of widening and up-gradation work of Raipur to Dhamtari road and urged him to issue directions to officials concerned to speed up the work. The union minister has assured to take positive initiatives on various other proposals related to development of highways at the earliest. Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary of Public Works Department, Siddharth Komal Pardeshi was also present on the occasion.

छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल ने नई दिल्ली में केन्द्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी से मुलाकात की। इस दौरान उन्होंने राज्य की आवश्यकताओं और समस्याओं से अवगत कराते हुये नक्सल प्रभावित और औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों के विकास के लिए सड़क परिवहन सुविधाएं बढ़ाए जाने का आग्रह किया। मुख्यमंत्री के आग्रह पर केंद्रीय मंत्री गडकरी ने आवश्यक कारवाई के लिए तत्काल अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया। वहीं, भारतमाला योजना अंतर्गत तीन राजमार्गों को शामिल करने की अनुमति भी प्रदान की।
मुलाकात के दौरान बघेल ने छत्तीसगढ़ में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों और सैद्धांतिक राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों के चौडीकरण, उन्नयन, पुनर्निर्माण के लिए प्रस्तावित कार्यों को अनुमति देने का आग्रह किया। बघेल ने भारत माला योजना के अंतर्गत तीन राजमार्गों को शामिल करने की मांग भी की है।
जिस पर तत्काल कार्रवाई करते हुये केंद्रीय मंत्री ने राज्य में लगभग 20 हजार करोड़ के सड़क निर्माण कार्यों की सहमति देते हुये रायगढ़-धरमजयगढ़ मार्ग, अम्बिकापुर-भैसामुड़ा-वाड्रफनगर-धनगांव-बम्हनी-रेनुकुट-बनारस मार्ग और पंडरिया-बजाग-गाड़ासरई मार्ग को भारतमाला योजना में शामिल करने की अनुमति प्रदान की। इसके अलावा पूर्व में इस योजना में सम्मिलित रायपुर-दुर्ग बायपास, रायपुर-विशाखापट्टनम मार्ग और बिलासपुर-उरगा मार्ग का निर्माण कार्य शीघ्र प्रारम्भ करने के अनुरोध को भी केंद्रीय मंत्री ने स्वीकार किया है।
मुलाकात के दौरान बघेल ने वार्षिक योजना 2020-21 के अंतर्गत मुंगेली से पोंडीमार्ग और मदांगमुड़ा से देवभोग ओडिशा सीमा तक निर्माण कार्य की स्वीकृत, राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग चांपा-कोरबा-कटघोरा मार्ग के अत्यंत खराब स्थिति और राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों पर विद्यमान लेवल क्रॉसिंग पर आरओबी निर्माण की ओर भी केंद्रीय मंत्री का ध्यान आकर्षित कराया। वहीं, मुख्यमंत्री ने रायपुर से धमतरी मार्ग के चौड़ीकरण एवं उन्नयन कार्य की धीमी गति पर संबंधितों को कार्य की गति बढ़ाने हेतु निर्देशित करने की बात कही।
केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने राजमार्गों के विकास संबंधी अन्य विभिन्न प्रस्तावों पर जल्द से जल्द सकारात्मक पहल करने का आश्वासन दिया है। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री के सचिव तथा लोक निर्माण विभाग के सचिव श्री सिद्धार्थ कोमल परदेशी भी उपस्थित थे।
