Automobile sector continues to shine

Chhattisgarh’s automobile sector continues to shine. More cars have been sold in the state in January 2021 as compared to January 2020. In January last year, where 4523 cars were sold in the state, 4644 cars have been sold in this month, this year. This number is more than the number of 4233 cars sold in the month of December last year.

This year, the government has procured more than 93 lakh metric tonnes of paddy at the support price, which has broken the record for the last 20 years. Along with this, under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, 19 lakh farmers are being benefited by the transfer of Rs. 5750 crore at the rate of Rs. 10 thousand per acre, into their bank accounts. Similarly, under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana of the State Government, a new source of income has developed in the villages with the purchase of cow dung for Rs. 2 per kg. So far, more than 35 lakh quintals of cow dung have been purchased by the government, in lieu of this, about 72 crore rupees have been paid to the farmers. Construction of 9050 Gothans have been sanctioned in villages under Suraji Gaon scheme, out of which 5195 Gothans have been completed. These Gothans are being developed as livelihood centers and income-generating activities are being conducted there, which has provided employment to thousands of people. Similarly, during the time of Corona crisis, the largest quantity of minor forest produce was collected in the forest areas of the state. During this period, 73 percent of the total minor forest produce collected in the country was collected in Chhattisgarh alone. The government not only increased the price of minor forest produce, but also increased the number of minor forest produce sold on support price from 07 to 52. During the lockdown, the state also made a record of providing employment to 26 lakh people a day under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
