Chief Minister chaired review meeting of Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Region Development Authority and Scheduled Caste Development Authority

Instructions given for speedy completion of incomplete works
Public representatives should inspect respective areas
Proposals for new works invited from members of both the authorities
Urban areas could not be reviewed because of the model code of conduct in effect
Raipur,30 November 2019/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today presided over the review meeting of Chhattisgarh State Rural and other Backward Region Development Authority and Scheduled Caste Development Authority. In the meeting, progress of works under by both the authorities was reviewed. Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the incomplete construction works as soon as possible. To comply with the model code of conduct, works of both the authorities in urban areas were not reviewed.
Chief Minister said that under State Government’s ambitious Suraji Gram Yojana, model cowsheds should be developed in villages. Facilities should be provided based on the parameters suitable there. Chief Minister directed the public representatives to regularly monitor the under-construction cowsheds in their respective areas. In the meeting, the proposal to request Central Government to revise the norms of CSR was unanimously approved. In the meeting, members of the authorities informed that to ensure transparency in CSR works, public representatives should be involved in the committee that sanctions works from this fund. Chief Minister requested members of both the authorities to submit new proposals within 10 days.
In the meeting, Chief Minister said that ‘Gram Patel’ should be appointed in villages and associated with Narva, Garva, Ghuruva, Bari. Chief Minister reviewed the progress of electrification of irretrievable irrigation pumps of farmers and Mini Mata Swavlamban Yojana. Chief Minister directed the officials to take suggestions from farmers and utilize the satelite maps available to recharge groundwater table and conserve surface water under Narva Yojana. There are 30 thousand canals in Chhattisgarh. Presently, DPR of 1028 canals is in progress.
In the meeting, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Panchayat Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo, Tribal Welfare Minister Dr Premsai Singh, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, Industru Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaising Agrawal, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendiya, Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, Food and Civil Supply Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, PHE Minister Mr. Guru Rudra Kumar, MP Mrs. Jyotsana Mahant, Mr. Guharam Ajgale and Mr. Santosh Pandey, members of both the authorities, Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. Subrat Sahu, Principal Secretary of Chief Secretary Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi and other officials concerned were present.
