Country’s fourth largest Gems and Jewelry Park to be established in capital city Raipur : Bhupesh Baghel

Chhattisgarh to become the hub of goldsmiths, refineries, cutting and polishing, employment opportunities to be generated for local people
Raipur Sarafa Association thanked Chief Minister

Raipur,26 November 2019/ Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that country’s fourth largest Gems and Jewelry Park, after Mumbai, Kolkata and Surat, will be established in capital city Raipur. This park will be one-of-its-kind centre of attraction for the entire world. Chief Minister was addressing the ‘Abhinandan Samaroh’ organized by Raipur Sarafa Association. Before that, Chief Minister visited Rishabh Dev Mandir situated in Sadar Bazaar and prayed for peace and prosperity in the state.
Chief Minister said that this park would be developed in nearly 10 lakh sq ft area. It would be a 10-storey well-equipped building with two thousand shops and proper security arrangements. Mr. Baghel said that Sarafa Association has deliberated upon the design of this building. Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation officials have been sent to Kolkata to study gems and jewelry park there. Thereafter, these officials will be sent to Mumbai for the same purpose, so that the gems and jewelry park to come up in Raipur turns out to be the best of its kind in terms of facilities and features. Chief Minister thanked the association for the warm welcome and extended greetings of Constitution Day to all the people present in the programme.
Chairman Raipur Sarafa Association Mr. Harak Malu told that the association had requested development of gems and jewelry park in Raipur on November 13, and in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister on November 15, the request was approved. Mr. Malu said that construction of gems and jewelry park will make Chhattisgarh the hub of goldsmiths, refineries, cutting and polishing, also employment opportunities will be generated for local people. On the occasion, Raipur Sarafa Association Chairman Mr. Harak Mali, Mr. Inderchand Dhariwal, Mr. Jitendra Barlota, Mr. Trilok Baradia, Mr. Mahendra Kochar and various office-bearers, members and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
