Urban Administration Minister reviews works of Municipal Corporation Bilaspur
Urban Administration and Labour Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya reviewed the departmental works at a meeting of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation’s officials on Wednesday. In the meeting, Dr Daharia directed the officials to ensure timely completion of works without compromising on the quality standards. He also directed the officials to regularly do field inspection and ensure availability of basic facilities such as electricity, water-supply, road and sanitation. Before the meeting, Dr Daharia inspected the construction sites of development works and progress of departmental schemes in various wards of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation.
Urban Administration Minister reviewed budget availability, revenue recovery, drinking water-supply, light festival, ward offices, patta distribution, cowsheds, sanitation, over-bridge construction, the works related to DMF, sewerage and smartcity. In the meeting, it was informed that budget of Rs 115 crore is available for municipal corporations. Presently, there is no problem of funds. 1077 works have been sanctioned in municipal corporation area. Most of these sanctioned works are of house constructions. People are being informed about revenue recovery through phone and SMS, so that they may pay their taxes on time. Officials informed that that 27km long pipeline is being laid under Amrit Mission to provide drinking water supply. Dr Daharia also inspected the status of Chief Minister Ward Office Scheme. He interacted with common people of the wards, heard their grievances and checked the status of redressal of those grievances.
