Dantewada, C.G., February 13, 2024 – Yuvoday, a pioneering youth network, has launched in Dantewada District, marking its ninth district in Chhattisgarh. With over 1000 members, Yuvoday is committed to advancing health, nutrition, education, and sanitation in rural villages of Dantewada.
Yuvoday champions essential practices including exclusive breastfeeding, child immunization, and the promotion of iron-rich diets and supplements for women and adolescents. It also promotes innovative programs in education; ‘Aaj Kya Seekha?’ and ‘Padhai ka Kona’ to encourage learning of children at home, with the involvement of parents.
The expansion signifies Yuvoday’s rapid growth since its inception in Bastar in 2020. The network, in collaboration with district administrations and UNICEF, has been pivotal in fostering youth leadership and community development across Chhattisgarh.
District Collector Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi, IAS, stated, “At the heart of Yuvoday’s mission is the belief in the power of youth to drive positive change. Our volunteers are the very agents of transformation within their communities.”
