Food Minister chairs meeting of Board of Directors

Food Minister and Chairman of Board of Directors, Civil Supply Corporation Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat chaired 72nd meeeting of Board of Directors at the meeting hall in Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) today. It was informed in the meeting that jaggery distribution under Universal PDS will commence in Bastar region soon. Citizens will be provided jaggery at fair price from fair price shops.

In the meeting, it was informed that the officials-employees of Civil Supply Corporation will be provided one-month salary as bonus along with arrears of dearness allowance hiked from January 1, 2019 as per the rules under sixth and seventh pay commission. Likewise, it has also been decided that the uniform allowance provided to drivers, peon, security guard and others. Employees mot entitled todearness allowance will be provided vehicle allowance. It was also informed in the meeting that 108 quality monitor employees will be hired from placement agency for rice procurement work of kharif marketing year 2019-20. In the meeting, chickpeas distribution work was also reviewed. It was informed in the meeting that chickpeas will be distribution in 85 blocks of Bastar, Sarguja Division and Mada area. This year APL families will also be provided rice along with BPL families under Universal PDS and necessary arrangements have also been made for the same by Civil Supply Corporation. In the meeting, Food Minister Secretary Dr Kamalpreet Singh, Finance Department Secretary Ms Shehla Nigar and member of the board were present.
