Rapid action is being taken on illegal mining in the state. The Revenue Department of North Bastar Kanker district took a raid on illegal sand mining in Antagarh area. In which nine tractor vehicles loaded with sand were seized on the occasion of no documents being presented. The mine has been approved on 5 hectares on Jogi river in Antagarh region. Apart from this, action was taken by the revenue administration team after receiving information about continuous illegal mining from other areas in Antagarh. Even in the approved mine, 4 tractor vehicles have been seized if the pit passes are not presented on the spot. Sand mining was being carried out illegally without depositing royalty by the mine operator following the instructions of the government.
