DGP Mr. Awasthi reviews law and order via video conferencing
To stop illegal transport of liqour, DGP Mr. DM Awasthi has given strict instructions to all the IGs and SPs. He has given instructions to take strict action against illegal liqour sale and transport. In case illegal liqour is found, TI concerned would be suspended and departmental investigation would be conducted against gazetted officer.
Mr. Awasthi has directed them to be vigilant of the illegal liqour transport from adjacent districts such as Rajnandgaon, Kawardha and Mungeli. On being tipped-off, Police Headquarters would send flying squad to take acton. Action taken in case of illegal liqour in any district should be immediately reported to Police Headquarters. DGP today reviewed law and order in the state via video conferencing.
In the review meeting, DGP said that immediate action should be taken against crimes against women in all the districts. Surajpur, Bastar, Raigarh and Bilaspur districts have set an example by arresting the perpetrators in crimes against women in lesser time, collect evidences and ensure that the criminal is punished.
DGP Awasthi said that there is no place in Police Department for indisciplined personnel with criminal tendencies. Chhattisgarh Police will adopt zero tolerance policy towards police personnel with criminal tendency. By immediately suspending the police personnel in Balod, who had behaved inhumanly with a child, Durg IG and SP have set an example. He has directed IG and SP to take immediate action in the cases where charges against police personnel have been proven in departmental investigation. The meeting was attended by Special DG Mr. RK Vij, ADJ Mr. Himanshu Gupta, DIG Mr. Vineet Khanna, Mr. Susheel Dwivedi, LIG Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, Mrs Bhavna Gupta.
