Chief Minister launches new website of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board
Exclusive bus service launched to visit Sirpur
Raipur,24 November 2019/ Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel launched the new website of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board- www.tourism.cg.gov.in in his residence office here this morning. On this occasion, he flagged off the tourist bus, starting the bus service from his residence to Sirpur.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has many picturesque natural sites and is a state blessed with a magnificent history of mythological importance, unique culture and places of historical heritage. He said that the state has Ram Van Gaman Marg in Chhattisgarh, Mata Kaushalya Temple, Buddhist Stupa in Sirpur, Chitrakot in Bastar, Tirathgarh Falls, Ganeshji’s Statue in Barsur, the oldest theater in Ramgarh. There is immense tourism potential in Chhattisgarh from Bastar to Surguja.
Along with the tourism department, the Culture Department and the Village Industries Department will work together to promote tourism in the state. Home and Tourism Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that earlier motels were built in Chhattisgarh, the facilities of tourists were not given proper attention.
With this scheme, the government is determined to promote tourism by expanding facilities for tourists.
The entire information related to tourism of Chhattisgarh is available in this new website of the Department of Tourism. With the help of this website, tourists will now be able to get online reservation facilities in resorts and motels operated by the tourism board. The tourism board is operating the resort at Mainpat, Kabir Chabutara of Amarkantak, Amdob near Sarvadder, Sarodadadar, Mohra, Chitrakoot, Tirathgarh and Balod. Resorts of Gangrel, Machtoli, Sirpur and Champaranya of the tourism board have been given to the private sector to operate.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel flagged off a bus from his residence to Sirpur while inaugurating the bus service. According to the information received from the department, the bus will depart daily from Hotel Johar Chhattisgarh Raipur to visit Sirpur.
The basic plan amount for the bus is merely Rs 600, which will include lunch, guide and other charges. Vehicle and evening tea will also be provided.
