Soniya Gandhi to inaugurate Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav on November one

Chhattisgarhi cultural programme to be organized for three days under Rajyotsav event

Pandwani, Panthi, Karma, Saila, Sua, Sarhul and Raut Nacha to be the major attractions of the event

On the occasion of 20th Foundation Day of Chhattisgarh State, magnificently prestigious event of Rajyotsav will be organized at Science College Ground Raipur from November 1-3. This year, Rajyotsav event will be completely dedicated to Chhattisgarhi Culture. On all three days, performances of popular classical dances, music, songs of Chhattisgarh will be staged along with geet-ghazal and sugam sangeet. In these programmes, pandwani, traditional panthi dance, gedi, gaura-gauri, raut nacha, karma, saila, gaur, kaksaad, dhurva, sua dance, sarhul dance, saila dance, raut nacha, and kaksaar dance performances will be staged. Lokmanch will also be organized on all three days of Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav.

This year, Rajyotsav will be inaugurated by Mrs. Soniya Gandhi at 7pm. On November 2, Chief Guest of the programme would be Governor of Chhattisgarh Ms Anusuiya Uikey. On the concluding day i.e. on November 3, Chief Minister will be the Chief Guest of the programme. This year, State-level Awards for excellence in various fields will be given during Rajyotsav event. Artists from Chhattisgarh will be invited to perform at the Rajyotsav event.

The programme will be commenced with ‘Manglik Mohri Vaadan’, followed by performance on ‘Arpa-Pairi’ song in the honour of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Thereafter, series of folk performances will begin. The inaugural programme will conclude with Lokmanch performance.

Second cultural evening will begin with Khanjheri Bhajan, followed by performances based on Sargul and Saila dances of North Chhattisgarh, Raut Nacha of Central Chhattisgarhhh and Kaksar dance of South Chhattisgarh. In the same sequence, Alfaz Aur Aawaz programme based on geet-ghazals will be held, followed by musical performances. On the same say, Odyssey, Bharatnatyam and classical Bharthari singing performances will also be staged. Programme will conclude with Lokmanch.

On the third cultural evening under Rajyotsav event, programme will begin with melodious singing performances, followed by performances based on Karma dance of Chhattisgarh, Lohati Baja of Chhattisgarh, Gedi Dance of South Chhatisgarh and Panthi Dance of Central Chhattisgarh. Thereafter, puppet show, kabeer-sufi singing performances, Dholamaru folk songs will be staged and the programme will end with Lokmanch.
