Sports Talents felicitated at Rajyotsav

To promote the sports talent of Chhattisgarh State Government felicitated the sportspersons for their excellent performances, inspiring them to perform even better in future. At Rajyotsav 2019, State Government awarded Gundadhur Khel Ratna to Mr. Dipesh Kumar Sinha and Maharaja Praveenchand Bhanjdev Award to Mr. Girivar Singh. Similarly, other sportspersons were also felicitated.
Mr. Dipesh Kumar Sinha works under Chhattisgarh Police and he is a talented volleyball player. He has been exhibiting his sports talent at international-level since year 2010. In the tournament held in Iran in year 2012, he had won the title of Best Asian Volleyball Player. For Archery, State-level Award – Maharaja Praveerchand Bhanjdev Samman has been conferred upon Shivtarai Bilaspur resident Mr. Girivar Singh. Mr. Girivar had secured first position in Indian round open category of National Para Archery Tournament held in Rohtak Hariyana. Till date, Girivar has won three national and three state-level tournaments.
