छत्तीसगढ़ में खेलों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार प्रतिबद्ध है— मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय

छत्तीसगढ़ ओलंपिक संघ की कार्यकारिणी बैठक सम्पन्न

मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय राजधानी रायपुर स्थित सरदार बलबीर सिंह जुनेजा इंडोर स्टेडियम में आयोजित छत्तीसगढ़ ओलंपिक संघ की कार्यकारिणी बैठक में शामिल हुए। इस अवसर पर वर्ष 2025-26 के वार्षिक बजट का अनुमोदन किया गया। साथ ही, मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने स्टेडियम परिसर में संघ के अध्यक्ष के नवीन कार्यालय कक्ष का विधिवत उद्घाटन भी किया।

मुख्यमंत्री साय ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार खेलों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पूर्णतः प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में खिलाड़ियों के प्रोत्साहन हेतु हमारी सरकार ने खेल अलंकरण समारोहों का पुनः शुभारंभ किया है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि उत्कृष्ट खिलाड़ियों की चयन प्रक्रिया शीघ्र ही पूर्ण की जाएगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने यह आश्वासन दिया कि संघ के सदस्यों द्वारा दिए गए सुझावों पर गंभीरता से विचार कर आवश्यक कार्यवाही की जाएगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में खेलों के विकास के लिए वृहद स्तर पर कार्य किए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने घोषणा की कि ओलंपिक खेलों में स्वर्ण पदक विजेताओं को ₹3 करोड़, रजत पदक विजेताओं को ₹2 करोड़ तथा कांस्य पदक विजेताओं को ₹1 करोड़ की पुरस्कार राशि प्रदान की जाएगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, ओलंपिक खेलों में केवल प्रतिभाग करने वाले खिलाड़ियों को भी प्रोत्साहन राशि प्रदान करने की दिशा में आवश्यक पहल की जाएगी।

मुख्यमंत्री साय ने यह भी बताया कि वे स्वयं राज्य तीरंदाजी संघ के अध्यक्ष हैं और बचपन से उन्हें तीरंदाजी का शौक रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि जशपुर में एनटीपीसी के सहयोग से तीरंदाजी अकादमी का निर्माण किया जा रहा है, जिससे स्थानीय खिलाड़ियों को विशेष लाभ मिलेगा। उन्होंने यह भी उल्लेख किया कि छत्तीसगढ़ एक उद्योग प्रधान और खनिज संसाधनों से भरपूर राज्य है। सरकार का प्रयास रहेगा कि सीएसआर मद के माध्यम से खेलों के लिए आधारभूत ढांचे का विकास किया जाए।

बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए खेल एवं युवा कल्याण मंत्री टंक राम वर्मा ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री साय के मार्गदर्शन में वर्षों से बंद खेल अलंकरण समारोह पुनः आरंभ किए गए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि शीघ्र ही उत्कृष्ट खिलाड़ियों की सूची भी घोषित की जाएगी। श्री वर्मा ने कहा कि प्रदेश में खेल प्रतिभाओं की कोई कमी नहीं है, आवश्यकता केवल उन्हें उचित प्रशिक्षण और अवसर देने की है।

उन्होंने आगे बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री साय के नेतृत्व में छत्तीसगढ़ युवा रत्न पुरस्कार की भी घोषणा की गई है, जिसके अंतर्गत खेल, कला, संगीत, साहित्य, उद्योग, व्यापार आदि क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले युवाओं को प्रोत्साहित किया जाएगा। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में ‘खेलो इंडिया’ योजना के तहत प्रत्येक जिले में खेलों को बढ़ावा देने के कार्य किए जा रहे हैं। बस्तर ओलंपिक का उल्लेख करते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि इस आयोजन की प्रधानमंत्री ने अपने ‘मन की बात’ कार्यक्रम में भी प्रशंसा की है।

इस अवसर पर सांसद एवं ओलंपिक संघ के उपाध्यक्ष विजय बघेल ने भी बैठक को संबोधित किया और प्रदेश में खेलों के विस्तार के लिए राज्य सरकार द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ ओलंपिक संघ की आवश्यकताओं और अपेक्षाओं से मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत कराते हुए संगठनात्मक सुदृढ़ता और संसाधनों की उपलब्धता पर बल दिया।

बैठक में छत्तीसगढ़ ओलंपिक संघ के महासचिव विक्रम सिंह सिसोदिया ने वर्ष 2024-25 का वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन प्रस्तुत करते हुए राज्य सरकार से मिल रहे सहयोग के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार द्वारा खेलों के विकास के लिए लिए गए निर्णयों और सहयोग से प्रदेश में एक सकारात्मक खेल वातावरण निर्मित हो रहा है। इस अवसर पर संघ के अनेक पदाधिकारीगण उपस्थित थे।

Chhattisgarh is committed to promoting sports, says CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Executive committee meeting of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held in Raipur

Raipur, July 27, 2025:
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the executive committee meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur today. On this occasion, the annual budget for the year 2025–26 was approved. The Chief Minister also formally inaugurated the new office chamber of the Association President located within the stadium premises.

CM Sai reiterated that the state government is fully committed to the promotion of sports. He stated that the government has revived the long-pending sports felicitation ceremonies to encourage athletes across the state. He further informed that the selection process for outstanding athletes would soon be completed. The Chief Minister assured that the suggestions provided by Association members would be taken seriously, and necessary actions would be initiated.

Highlighting the state’s focus on sports development, CM Sai said that large-scale initiatives are underway to uplift sports infrastructure and talent. He announced that Olympic gold medalists from the state would be awarded ₹3 crore, silver medalists ₹2 crore, and bronze medalists ₹1 crore as prize money. In addition, he emphasized that athletes who merely participate in the Olympic Games would also be eligible for incentive rewards, for which appropriate measures would be undertaken.

The Chief Minister shared that he himself is the President of the Chhattisgarh Archery Association and has had a deep passion for archery since childhood. He said that with the support of NTPC, an archery academy is being established in Jashpur, which will greatly benefit local athletes. He also noted that Chhattisgarh is an industry-rich and mineral-abundant state, and that the government aims to leverage CSR funds to develop sports infrastructure across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare TankRam Verma said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Sai, the sports felicitation ceremonies that were discontinued for years have been revived. He informed that the list of outstanding athletes will be announced soon. Verma added that Chhattisgarh has no shortage of sporting talent — what is needed is proper training and opportunities.

He further informed that under the leadership of CM Sai, the government has also announced the Chhattisgarh Yuva Ratna Puraskar, a youth award scheme that will honor exceptional performance in fields such as sports, arts, music, literature, industry, and business. He also highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Khelo India’ scheme is actively promoting sports in every district of the country. Referring to the Bastar Olympics, he stated that Prime Minister Modi appreciated the initiative in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address.

On this occasion, MP and Vice President of the Olympic Association, Vijay Baghel, also addressed the meeting and lauded the efforts made by the state government in expanding the sports ecosystem. He apprised the Chief Minister of the needs and expectations of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, emphasizing the importance of organizational strength and availability of resources.

During the meeting, General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, Vikram Singh Sisodia, presented the annual report for the year 2024–25 and expressed gratitude to the state government for its consistent support. He said that the government’s decisions and assistance toward sports development are creating a positive sporting environment in the state. Several Association office-bearers were present on the occasion.
