Tribal people livin on encroached land in forest areas to get ‘patta’ : Food Minister attends Sarva Adivasi Sammelan

Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Minister Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat attended Sarv Adivasi Samaj Sammelan organized in vilage Khudiya of Lormi block in Mungeli district. He said in his address to the grathering that Chhattisgarh Government is working consistently towards tribal welfare. As soon as the government was formed, support price for paddy procurement was increased to Rs 2500 per quintal, farmer loans were waived off, electricity bill was halved and tendupatta collection wage rate was increased to Rs 4000 per standard sack, or overall development of farmers. He said that the forest dwellers living on encroached forest land will be provided ‘patta’ for that encroached land. He said that Tribal Community has a glorious history, to preserve which tribal community should also come forward with State Government. He extended hearty wishes to Sarv Adivasi Samaj for upholding their glorious history and traditions.
Mr. Bhagat announced incentive of Rs 5000 for the local Karma Dance Troupe. The programme was also addressed by Shriramji Dhruv and Shri Janak Ram Dhruv. On the occasion, Ex-MLA Mr. Chandrabhan Baramte, Mrs. Maya Rani Singh, prominent citizens, public representatives and a large number of people rom Sarva Adivasi Samaj were also present.
