Proper Storage Arrangements ensured for the 93 lakh tons of paddy procured

7606 cemented platforms built to minimize the crop wastage due to weather, rats and pests in warehouses

Chhattisgarh Government has accomplished several tasks at once by adopting an economic, traditional yet unique idea for proper preservation of crops. Every year, a large quantity of the paddy stored in warehouses gets damaged due to moisture, rains, hailstorm, rats and pests. To minimize this loss this year, special kind of cemented platforms have been built. These platforms were built during corona crisis under MNREGA, which created employment opportunities on a large scale. This new arrangement for saving the procured paddy from damaged has been introduced on Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s initiative. Total 7606 platforms have been built in all the districts. State Government has done a record procurement of 93 lakh metric tons of paddy this year, which is the highest so far, ever since Chhattisgarh state was formed. It is a big challenge to ensure safe storage of such a large quantity of paddy. But the large number of cemented platforms built this year in paddy collection centres have helped in dealing with this challenge. Nearly three thousand sacks can be piled up n each of the platforms. As per the standards of Food Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department and as per the requirements of collection centers, platforms of 10.6 m length and 7.5m width have been built at the cost of Rs 2 lakh each. Provision has been made to build shade over these platforms with 8 pedestal, bolt and plate in near future.
Total 378 platforms have been constructed in various collection centers of Balod district, 597 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, 85 in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, 221 in Bastar district, 430 in Bemetara district, 123 in Bijapur district, 380 in Bilaspur district, 22 in Dantewada, 333 in Dhamtari, 132 in Durg, 254 in Gariaband, 60 in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 711 in Janjgir-Champa, 47 in Jashpur, 363 in Kanker, 269 in Kabeerdham, 114 platforms in Kondagaon district, 157 in Korba, 76 in Koriya, 488 in Mahasamund, 351 in Mungeli, 32 in Narayanpur, 469 in Raigarh, 786 in Raipur, 465 in Rajnandgaon, 66 in Sukma, 118 in Surajpur and 79 cemented platforms have been built in the collection centers of Sarguja district.

फसल संरक्षण की सस्ती, परंपरागत और अनूठी तरकीब अपनाते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ ने एक पंथ और कई काज की कहावत को चरितार्थ कर दिखाया है। हर साल संग्रहण केंद्रों में खरीदे गए धान की बड़ी मात्रा जहां नमी, बारिश, ओलावृष्टि, चूहों और दीमक की वजह से खराब हो जाती थी, वहीं इस बार इस क्षति को रोकने के लिए इन केंद्रों में विशेष तरह के पक्के चबूतरों का निर्माण किया गया है। कोरोना-काल के दौरान इन चबूतरों का निर्माण महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय रोजगार गारंटी योजना के तहत किया गया है। इससे बड़े पैमाने पर रोजगार के अवसरों का निर्माण भी हुआ।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेश बघेल की पहल पर छत्तीसगढ़ में इस साल किसानों से खरीदे गए धान को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए यह नयी व्यवस्था की गई है। सभी जिलों में कुल 7606 चबूतरों का निर्माण किया गया है। राज्य शासन ने समर्थन मूल्य पर इस साल रिकॉर्ड 93 लाख मीटरिक टन से अधिक की धान खरीदी की है। छत्तीसगढ़ के अलग राज्य बनने के बाद से किसानों से यह सर्वाधिक धान की खरीदी है। इतनी बड़ी मात्रा में खरीदे गए धान को सुरक्षित रखना भी बड़ी चुनौती है। धान संग्रहण केंद्रों में इस साल बड़ी संख्या में बनाए गए पक्के चबूतरों से इन्हें सुरक्षित रखने में भरपूर मदद मिल रही है।
प्रत्येक चबूतरे पर तीन-तीन हजार बोरियां रखी जा सकती हैं। संग्रहण केन्द्रों में जरूरत के मुताबिक खाद्य, नागरिक आपूर्ति एवं उपभोक्ता संरक्षण विभाग के मानकों के अनुरूप इसके लिए 10.6 मीटर लंबाई और साढ़े सात मीटर चौड़ाई के चबूतरे बनाए गए हैं। दो-दो लाख रूपए की लागत से बनाए गए इन चबूतरों में भविष्य में शेड लगाने के लिए आठ पेडेस्टल के साथ बोल्ट और प्लेट का भी प्रावधान किया गया है। चबूतरों में आर.सी.सी. फर्श के नीचे रेत की भराई एवं चूहे से बचाव के लिए चारों तरफ छज्जा भी बनाए गए हैं।
धान को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए बालोद जिले के विभिन्न संग्रहण केंद्रों में कुल 378, बलौदाबाजार-भाटापारा में 597, बलरामपुर-रामानुजगंज में 85, बस्तर में 221, बेमेतरा में 430, बीजापुर में 123, बिलासपुर में 380, दंतेवाड़ा में 22, धमतरी में 333, दुर्ग में 132, गरियाबंद में 254, गौरेला-पेंड्रा-मरवाही में 60, जांजगीर-चांपा में 711, जशपुर में 47, कांकेर में 363, कबीरधाम में 269, कोंडागांव में 114, कोरबा में 157, कोरिया में 76, महासमुंद में 488, मुंगेली में 351, नारायणपुर में 32, रायगढ़ में 469, रायपुर में 786, राजनांदगांव में 465, सुकमा में 66, सूरजपुर में 118 और सरगुजा में 79 पक्के चबूतरों का निर्माण किया गया है।
