Washington: The Indian Origin political adviser named Neera Tanden as the budget director by President Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America, succeeded his mother. The only child in school was Tandon, who used vouchers for food in the cafeteria
Tandon told the MPs, “He (mother) showed faith in this country and decided. Mother made the bold decision to stay here. We also had to get help for food and water, to pay the rent. ” Tandon said, “I remember that I was the only child in school who used vouchers for food in the cafeteria. In a few years my mother got a job and in the following years she reached the middle class category in terms of salary. He then bought a house. ”
MP Ami Klobuchar praised mother Maya
MP Ami Klobuchar, who proposed Tandon’s name during the hearing, also praised her mother Maya. During the hearing before the Senate committee, Tandon regretted removing the tweet critical of Republican lawmakers and the party’s leadership. MP Rob Portman said that there were reports in the media that more than 1,000 old tweets were removed from Tandon’s account in November 2020 after the election.

वाशिंगटन: अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन द्वारा बजट निदेशक के तौर पर नामित भारतवंशी राजनीतिक सलाहकार नीरा टंडन ने कामयाबी के लिए अपनी मां के त्याग और समर्पण को इसका श्रेय दिया है, जिन्होंने तलाक के बाद अपने दो बच्चों के साथ भारत ना जाकर अमेरिका में ही रहने का फैसला किया था।
OMB का नेतृत्व करने वाली पहली भारतवंशी
सीनेट में मंजूरी मिलने पर टंडन प्रबंधन और बजट कार्यालय का नेतृत्व करने वाली पहली भारतवंशी होंगी। यह कार्यालय योजनाओं को लागू करने में राष्ट्रपति की मदद करता है। सीनेट की गृह सुरक्षा और सरकारी मामलों की समिति द्वारा मंगलवार को सुनवाई के समय टंडन के साथ उनकी मां माया और परिवार के सदस्य मौजूद थे।

सुनवाई के दौरान टंडन ने कहा, ‘‘मेरी मां के त्याग और समर्पण, उनके प्यार और सहयोग के कारण मैं यहां मौजूद हूं। मेरे पिता से तलाक के बाद मेरी मां ने अपने दो छोटे बच्चों के साथ अपने दम पर अमेरिका में रहने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने मुश्किल विकल्प को चुना। उनके पास अमेरिका में सामाजिक सुरक्षा घेरे के साथ रहने या भारत लौटने का विकल्प था जहां उन्हें पता था कि लौटने पर बच्चों को तलाक के लांछन का सामना करना पड़ेगा।” स्कूल में इकलौती बच्ची थी टंडन, जो कैफेटेरिया में भोजन के लिए वाउचर का इस्तेमाल करती थी टंडन ने सांसदों से कहा, ‘‘उन्होंने (मां) इस देश में आस्था दिखायी और फैसला किया। मां ने यहां रहने का साहसी फैसला किया। हमें भोजन-पानी, किराया चुकाने के लिए भी मदद लेनी पड़ी।” टंडन ने कहा, ‘‘मुझे याद है कि स्कूल में मैं इकलौती बच्ची थी जो कैफेटेरिया में भोजन के लिए वाउचर का इस्तेमाल करती थी। कुछ वर्षों में मेरी मां को नौकरी मिल गयी और बाद के वर्षों में वह वेतन के लिहाज से मध्यवर्गीय श्रेणी में पहुंच गयी। इसके बाद उन्होंने मकान खरीदा।”
सांसद अमी क्लोबुचार ने मां माया की सराहना की
सुनवाई के दौरान टंडन के नाम का प्रस्ताव देने वाली सांसद अमी क्लोबुचार ने उनकी मां माया की भी सराहना की। सीनेट की समिति के समक्ष सुनवाई के दौरान टंडन ने रिपब्लिकन सांसदों और पार्टी के नेतृत्व के प्रति आलोचनात्मक ट्वीट को हटाने के लिए खेद जताया। सांसद रॉब पोर्टमैन ने कहा कि मीडिया में ऐसी खबरें आयी थी कि चुनाव के बाद नवंबर 2020 में टंडन के अकाउंट से 1,000 से ज्यादा पुराने ट्वीट हटाए गए।
